High quality personalised care

We provide a specialist medical practice in the area of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Our focus is on providing our patients with high quality personalised care. We cover all areas of practice within the field of our specialty. Whilst our pregnancy focus is predominantly about keeping things "normal" our admitting rights to Westmead Public Hospital means that we can provide care for complicated or high risk pregnancy issues if necessary with all of the supportive care that a large university teaching hospital provides.

Relaxed, welcoming and friendly

Our approach to gynaecology is similar. Our goal is to provide you with the most reliable and up to date information about your problem or concern, and assist you in making informed decisions about your treatment/care.

We have endeavoured to create a consulting room environment which supports our approach to care. We aim to create a relaxed, welcoming and friendly space which at the same time reassures you of our professionalism, expertise and commitment to the highest standards of care.

Educators and specialists

Our other roles as educators of students and specialists-in-training ensures that we are always up to date with the most current developments within our specialty. The commitment we make to our public hospital work ensures that we maintain a broad view of the wider needs of the community in regards to women's health.

Our staff

We are supported and assisted by two very experienced and capable midwives who are an integral part of our practice. Gillian Linton (Midwife Gil) works predominantly with Dr Jenkins, whilst Julie Turner (Midwife Julie) works predominantly with Dr Arrage. Both are friendly, approachable and extremely knowledgeable and professional. You can be reassured that any information or advice they provide you with will be accurate and reliable. On occasions when we are called away to an emergency or during periods of leave they may conduct your routine pregnancy visit on our behalf.

Annual leave and weekends

The profession of obstetrics and gynaecology is not restricted to "normal" working hours. It is neither possible nor desirable to be continuously on-call for long periods of time. We participate in a weekend roster with a small group of specialists in the local area. These are specialists who are well known to us. If you have your baby on a weekend when we are not available there will be a close colleague providing your care in exactly the same manner as we would. Please feel free to discuss any aspects of weekend cover with us in person.

We endeavour to plan our annual leave well in advance. For normal periods of annual leave (1-2 weeks) when one of us is away the other will generally be providing cover. Our leave dates are on display in reception. If you have questions regarding our leave please feel free to ask any of our staff.
